Comparisons with other tools

Each comparison uses facts read on the tool's own site and says when we could not confirm something. Prices change, so check the tool's own site before you decide.

Frequently asked questions

Where should I start?

Start with what an accountability partner is, then read how to ask someone to be your partner or how matching works on GoalAllies. If you are weighing tools, the best accountability apps page puts the main options side by side.

Who writes these guides?

Jim Zwetsloot, founder of GoalAllies, is named as the author on every guide. Each one is written to say something the others do not, and we link between them instead of repeating ourselves.

How do you keep the comparisons fair?

Facts about other tools come from their own pages, dated on the comparison. Where a page does not state something, we say so instead of guessing, and we say when another tool is the better fit. Prices and plans can change.

Is GoalAllies free?

Yes. GoalAllies is free while we build our community. Paid features may come later, and we will say so before anything changes. GoalAllies is newer and smaller than the big names, so a match can take a while.

How do I get matched with a partner on GoalAllies?

Set up a short goal profile with your goal, languages, time zone, meeting format and check-in frequency. GoalAllies suggests matches using published rules, and you chat inside the app once you both accept, without exchanging personal contact details.
